Sod roofs inspire specialist green roof nursery

Sod roofs are back in style, according to a report in Oregon’s Mail Tribune. The report quotes the aptly-named Edmond Snodgrass, co-author of Green Roof Plants: a resource and planting guide (right), who runs Emory Knoll Farms, the first nursery in the US dedicated solely to the propagation and sale of green roof plants.

I assume those pictures are of the various ground covers that a sod roof nursery might produce? don’t they use regular old sod for roofs anymore?
